Frequently asked questions
When should I call for AI after seeing heat?
For cows, use the AM/PM rule: if heat is first seen in the morning, serve that evening; if seen in the evening, serve the next morning. For goats, serve 12–24 hours after heat starts. Call us as soon as you notice heat.
Do you inseminate dairy goats?
Yes. Goat AI needs accurate timing and a skilled technician; we offer it with Saanen, Toggenburg and Alpine semen, and can synchronise heat for groups of does.
What if my cow doesn't conceive?
Watch for her to come back on heat around 21 days later and call us. Repeated failures can point to nutrition, infection or timing problems — our extension team can check the cause.
