Fungicides: what to know before you buy
Protective vs systemic fungicides
Protective (contact) fungicides such as mancozeb form a barrier on the leaf and must be applied before infection, repeating after heavy rain. Systemic fungicides move into the plant and can stop early infections — but should be rotated to avoid resistance.

How often should I spray tomatoes for blight?
In wet weather, protective sprays are typically repeated every 7 days, alternating with a systemic product. In dry spells the interval can be extended. Always follow label rates.
