Bean Seeds: what to know before you buy
Why certified bean seed matters
Many bean diseases, including anthracnose and bean common mosaic virus, are carried inside the seed. Replanting grain from last season spreads them. Certified seed is inspected for disease and germination, giving you a cleaner start.

How much bean seed is needed per acre?
Pure-stand bush beans need about 25–30 kg per acre at 50 × 10 cm spacing. In a maize intercrop, around 15–20 kg is typical.
